Wipe Properly

You need to be sure you wipe properly when you go to the bathroom. Wipe from front to back, and not the other way around. Wiping from back to front can case problems such as bacteria being spread to your vagina. When this happens, it can cause a UTI. Wipe properly and use bathroom wipes if you need to to prevent the spread of bacteria to your vagina.

Shower After Sweating

Shower daily and shower after doing anything that may cause you to sweat, including working out, playing a sport, or even having sex. Shower after you've been sweating, as this extra heat and moisture can lead to a UTI. Shower after you've been sweating and clean your vaginal area thoroughly.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Make sure you drink plenty of water each day to flush your system and to keep your kidneys healthy and clean. If you have yellow or dark urine, you need to drink more water every day to keep your body healthy and your kidneys functioning properly. If you suspect you have an infection, you need to drink more water. Be sure you drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of water each day.

Don't Hold In Your Urine

When you have to go to the bathroom, you need to go. Don't attempt to hold in your urine, and go whenever you have the feeling in your body to have to go. If you hold your urine, it can lead to kidney pain and a urinary tract infection.

If you do end up needing urinary tract infection treatment, you need to get treated for it by your physician right away to prevent it from worsening or causing other issues.
